GWL Investment Management (GWLIM) is GLC’s top-down, all-cap investment management division. GWLIM’s management style blends top-down macro-analysis with bottom-up fundamental stock research. GWLIM identifies industry risks, competitive opportunities and macro trends to influence sector allocations, while fundamental research identifies companies positioned to outperform in the current market cycle.
Senior Vice-President, Equities
Patricia oversees GWLIM’s equity portfolio management, analyst and research teams. She’s also the lead portfolio manager for the GWLIM Canadian equity mandate and co-manager of the resources portfolio strategy. In addition, she leads the GLC Asset Mix Committee, which oversees all of GLC’s balanced portfolios.
Patricia joined the GWLIM team in 1987 and has been leading the group since 1991.
Patricia is a CFA charterholder and holds an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba. She’s also a former president of the Winnipeg Society of Financial Analysts and past chair of the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Clayton is the lead portfolio manager for GWLIM’s Canadian and U.S. dividend strategies. He’s also a member of the GLC Asset Mix Committee.
Clayton joined the GWLIM team in 2006 and brings more than 20 years of industry experience to their portfolio management team.
Clayton is a CFA charterholder and a Licensed International Financial Analyst. He also holds an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
Dylan is the lead manager of the SRI Canadian Equity portfolio, co-manager of the Canadian Resource mandate, and assists in the portfolio management of GWLIM’s flagship Canadian Equity portfolio. He is also a member of the GLC Asset Mix Committee.
He began his career in investment management and research in 1999 and has worked with the GWLIM portfolio management team since 2007.
Dylan is a CFA charterholder and earned an honours bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Regina.
Bryan is the lead portfolio manager of the GWLIM Mid Cap Canada portfolio.
He became a key member of GWLIM's Canadian equity team in 2001. For over a decade Bryan worked with the Canadian Mid Cap portfolio management team where he developed expertise and in-depth knowledge of this unique sector of the Canadian market.
He’s a CFA charterholder and earned an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
Senior Analyst, Equities
Deji joined the company in 2014 and has more than 12 years of industry experience. Deji has focused on the Canadian equity portfolio strategy.
He has an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba. Deji is a CFA charterholder.
Chris joined the company 13 years ago, and has been with GWLIM since 2007. As part of the GWLIM team, Chris is primarily focused on the Canadian and US dividend mandates. Chris is a CFA charterholder, and has both an honours bachelor of commerce degree and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Manitoba.
Associate Manager and Trader, Equities
Brent Mahoney is the lead trader for all of GWLIM’s equity portfolios. Brent joined the company in 2001 and has over 30 years of industry experience. In addition, he assists in the portfolio management of passive investment mandates. Brent joined the organization in 2001.
Lindsey joined the parent company in 2009 and started with GLC in 2011 in the finance and operations area. She moved over to investment strategy as a research assistant in 2014 and transitioned to Canadian equity research in 2016. Lindsey has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and is a CFA charterholder.
Associate Manager, Equities
Erik joined the company 10 years ago starting off in the Portfolio Management Training Program. He began working exclusively with the GWLIM team in 2009.
Since 2013 Erik's focus has been on the GWLIM Canadian Mid-Cap mandate. Erik has an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba and is a CFA charterholder.
Catherine joined the company in April 2016, bringing with her 5 years of experience as an investment analyst with a publicly-traded real estate investment trust (REIT) and a Canadian mutual fund company. Catherine is primarily focused on the Canadian and US dividend mandates. Catherine is a CFA charterholder and earned an honours bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
