Laketon’s dynamic financial models and deep dive analysis into companies seeks to capture opportunities and manage risks not yet priced into the market. It’s a deep fundamental analysis approach to stock selection that results in concentrated portfolios of large cap stocks.
Senior Vice-President, Equities
Brad is the lead portfolio manager for Laketon’s pure Canadian dividend portfolio strategy and the dividend-equity component of GLC’s income balanced mandates.
Brad began his investment career in 1989. Since joining Laketon in 2007, his career focus on yield-oriented equities has translated into a disciplined approach to investing in dividend-paying, quality companies through deep fundamental analysis.
He earned an honours bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier and an MBA from Queen's University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Ben is the lead portfolio manager for Laketon’s equity growth portfolios.
He joined the Laketon portfolio management team in 2004, bringing with him almost a decade of industry experience covering Europe, the U.K and Canada, where he refined his deep fundamental investment process.
A CFA charterholder, Ben earned a bachelor of commerce degree (co-op) from the University of Victoria and an MBA from York University.
Ryan is the lead portfolio manager of Laketon’s Canadian Concentrated Value equity mandate, managing over $2 billion in Canadian equity assets for GLC.
He joined the company in 2004 and his experience has included stock analysis and portfolio management for several North American equity mandates. In addition to a career focus on deep fundamental stock analysis, Ryan has been actively involved in developing both fundamental and quantitative analysis models for a variety of sectors, Canadian and U.S. equity mandates.
Ryan earned an undergraduate degree in commerce from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Gregory joined the Laketon investment team in January 2011 and supports the Laketon’s equity growth mandates.
He started in the industry in 2002 with a focus on financial modeling and valuations.
Gregory is a CFA charterholder and holds an honours bachelor of mathematics/business administration degree from the University of Waterloo.
Manager, Investment Strategy
Andrew joined the company in 2012, and has over 8 years of industry experience. Andrew supports GLC's Chief Investment Strategist and monitors economic and market developments, manages investment databases, and contributes to various market commentary publications. Working with the Laketon investment team, Andrew conducts bottom-up fundamental research of Canadian and U.S. equities and provides analytical support to the portfolio manager. Andrew holds an honours bachelor of commerce degree from University College Dublin, an honours master of business degree (finance) from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School, and is a CFA charterholder.
Adam joined the company in 2011, and prior to this he worked at a Canadian investment bank for 4 years. Adam supports the Laketon Canadian Dividend mandate. Adam earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Adam is a CFA charterholder.
Vice-President & Senior Equity Trader
Richard is the lead equity trader for the Laketon team. Richard joined the company in 1993 and has over 30 years of industry experience. Richard is a Chartered Market Technician.
Chris Li was introduced to GLC in 2015 as part of the Great-West Life’s Portfolio Management Training program, gaining valuable experience in different areas of GWL’s investment areas. In 2018 Chris joined GLC’s Laketon equity team, where he provides security analysis and portfolio maintenance. He brings with him experience in equity research and investment analysis.
Chris has an honours bachelor of business administration and bachelor of arts (financial mathematics) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
