What’s the strategy?
The Mid Term Bond (Portico) portfolio strategy invests primarily in Canadian investment-grade bond securities with terms between 5 years and 10 years, and includes exposure to mid-term corporate bonds.
The portfolio manager pursues a consistent, measured and disciplined approach to capture incremental gains through a multi-factor approach to analyzing interest rates, credit markets and yield curves.
Why invest in this portfolio strategy?
Ideal for investors seeking interest income, the potential for capital appreciation, and are able to tolerate a moderate amount of interest rate risk.
This Mid Term Bond portfolio is highly diversified across sectors and includes exposure to mid-term corporate bonds. The portfolio can act as a complement to a core bond portfolio given its focus on one maturity segment within the fixed-income market.
